ODYSSEY: Another Stolen Legacy

Seven cities claimed Homer. Not one of them could name his teacher.

The man called the Father of Western Literature has no verified birthplace, no verified birthdate, and no confirmed school. Yet the civilization built on his work has spent two thousand years insisting it owes Africa nothing.

ODYSSEY: Another Stolen Legacy is the continuation of a case opened in 1954 and never answered. When George G.M. James published Stolen Legacy, he proved that Greek philosophy was Egyptian philosophy under a new name. The academy did not refute him. It ignored him. He died two years later.

This book picks up the file and widens it.

WHAT WAS TAKEN, AND HOW THE PATTERN REPEATED

The gods. Zeus, Athena, Hermes, and Poseidon traced to their African antecedents not resemblance, but lineage.

The philosophy. Plato in Egypt. Pythagoras in the African temples for twenty-two years. The curriculum they came home with.

The mathematics. The binary system Leibniz is credited with and the 256 Odu of Ifa that encoded it first.

The law. The Forty-Two Laws of Ma’at, and what the Ten Commandments inherited from them.

The inventions. Lewis Latimer, the carbon filament, and the name that ended up on the patent.

The music. Big Mama Thornton recorded “Hound Dog” in 1952. It went number one for seven weeks. She was paid five hundred dollars, one time, no royalties. Four years later, another version made history under a different name.

The distance between Homer and Elvis is twenty-eight centuries. The method never changed: take the creation, rename it, sell it under a white name, pay the source nothing.

AND THEN THE CHAPTER NOBODY EXPECTS

On March 29, 1996, Dr. John Henrik Clarke a sharecropper’s son from Alabama who left Georgia on a freight train at eighteen and never earned an accredited doctorate sat across from two tenured Wellesley professors to debate the African origins of Greek culture. What he said that night is reproduced here in full.
